In Tally.ERP 9, multi-tasking can be done by opening multiple Tally.ERP 9 instances. But in TallyPrime, you can multitask in a single window.
Chart of accounts
In TallyPrime, you have a direct option for a chart of accounts. But in ERP 9, you need to make a minimum of 3 steps.
Supplementary details
In TallyPrime, you need to define permanent details or supplementary details as per your needs. But in Tally.ERP 9, you need to complete the necessary fields and pass through the complete Supplementary Details.
Copy/Paste keys
Short keys for copy or paste in Tally.ERP 9 is Ctrl + Alt + C and Ctrl + Alt + V. But in TallyPrime, global keys like Ctrl+C and Ctrl+V are used for copying and pasting.
Voucher Mode Switching
In ERP 9, functional keys are used for voucher mode switching. But in TallyPrime, you can easily switch voucher modes with the Change Mode option.
E-invoicing and E-way Bill Generation
In Tally ERP 9, there is an inbuilt e-invoicing and e-way bill generation function. But it is not in Tally.ERP 9.
Update details in the transaction
You need to pass through all items to update the details of a specific item. But you can update the details of a specific item by using More Details in the transaction.
